The Mission of The Hayward Sports Center is to enhance the community by providing a safe and positive environment in pursuit of enjoyment, achievement, sportsmanship and excellence through athletics, recreation and family activities.
We believe that participation in athletics creates an important learning environment for the development of: responsibility and work ethics; character and confidence; commitment and respect; excellence and achievement, sportsmanship and teamwork
Activities Include: Community Skating, Hockey, Figure Skating, Little League, Softball, Football, Tennis, and Handicap Accessible Playground Area
The Hayward Sports Center is a non-profit, volunteer, 501(c)3 corporation.
$1 Million Community Campaign for Kids . . . Through the generosity of many friends of the Sports Center, the $1 Million Community Campaign for Kids has reached $756,000. Improvements covered by this campaign include renovation of the current ice facility, parking lot paving, a new playground, and a second ice facility.
